The principle challenge for this project was the replacement of a doorway into a load bearing wall in a 2-story home. While moving doorways  provided for a unified living room, kitchen and family room it required an advanced, highly skilled Renovator.  This one design detail required both the re-routing of plumbing, heating and vacuum ducts to another interior wall and the installation of a double floor joist to make certain that design did not impact structural integrity.

 The entire space was gutted making way for a highly personalized , spacious and functional kitchen featuring a new sound absorbing Cork Floor, custom lighting, beveled  laminate countertops, a multi-function island, angular style cabinets positioned at the entranceway to provide additional clearance among some of the many customized items.
